ABC's 'Manhattan Love Story' Moves to Hulu

The canceled comedy's unaired episodes will be available on the streaming service

Hulu is quickly becoming the home for broadcast TV's early exits.

The streaming service has picked up the remaining unaired episodes of ABC's canceled comedy Manhattan Love Story

The seven remaining episodes of the Jeff Lowell romantic comedy, starring Analeigh Tipton and Jake McDorman and from ABC Studios, will be available weekly starting Thursday via Hulu with a subscription to its premium Plus service.

ABC canceled the series — the first freshman show of the 2014-15 season — after four episodes. Manhattan opened to a paltry 4.3 million total viewers and a 1.3 in the all-important adults 18-49 demographic, down from its Selfie lead-in. Week two slipped to 3.2 million total viewers and a 0.9 in the demo. The nail in the coffin came with episode four, which fell to a 0.7 in the demo — a series low — and leading to a series low for Marvel's Agents of SHIELD.

The news comes a week after Hulu also picked up unaired episodes of ABC's Selfie — Manhattan's lead-in — with unaired episodes of the Emily Kapnek comedy from Warner Bros. Television available every Tuesday.

Hulu, which has been making a major push with original scripted fare, also was the home for ABC's unaired episodes of Apartment 23 in April 2013.
