ABC's Midseason Schedule Slots 'Red Widow' Premiere, Gives 'Parents' Post-'Modern Family' Spot

UPDATED: "Happy Endings" and "Apartment 23" move off the schedule in March, while "Zero Hour," "Family Tools," "The Taste" and "Celebrity Diving" also join the lineup.

Following the rest of the networks, ABC released its midseason schedule on Tuesday, making room several new series -- and shuffling a few existing ones, including Happy Endings and Don't Trust the B in Apartment 23, which will end their runs early in March.

After a two-hour premiere on Sunday, March 3, Red Widow gets the post-Revenge time slot at 10 p.m. starting March 10. The drama, based on a Dutch format, stars Radha Mitchel and Goran Višnjić.

And in the place of the also-axed Last Resort, the 8 p.m. Thursday time slot goes to Anthony Edwards vehicle Zero Hour starting Feb. 14.

Dancing With the Stars returns for its 16th season on Monday, March 18, before the Dancing With the Stars results show returns to 9 p.m. Tuesdays starting March 26. This means that Happy Endings and Apartment 23, which have respective 22- and 18-episode orders, will have remaining episodes not currently scheduled to air.

When Neighbors finishes its freshman run, Suburgatory heads back to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesdays. That means the Sarah Chalke starrer How to Live With Your Parents (for the Rest of Your Life) will get the prime post-Modern Family 9:30 p.m. time slot the network has used to launch many of its comedies. It will premiere April 3.

Wednesday will also serve as a launchpad for Family Tools, albeit quite late in the season. The comedy starring Kyle Bornheimer, J.K. Simmons and Leah Remini enters Suburgatory's 8:30 p.m. slot when its season concludes, premiering May 1.

Earlier in the calendar year, ABC is launching two reality competitions. The Taste, starring celebrity chefs Anthony Bourdain and Nigella Lawson, gets a two-hour premiere on Tuesday, Jan. 22, at 8 p.m., before airing its regular one-hour at the same time the next week.

Celebrity Diving, based on international format Celebrity Splash, will see Olympic legend Greg Louganis judging famous people's attempts at diving. That premieres Tuesday, Mar. 19, at 8 p.m., after the run of The Taste concludes.
