Private Practice actress Erin Way has joined the ensemble as Kat, the latest addition to the quirky team of investigators with superhuman powers. Kat is described a mysterious and free-spirited young loner whose Alpha ability allows her to pick up any skill at a glance. The downside is that her memories and experiences are short-lived.

Alphas, produced by Universal Cable Productions and BermanBraun, stars David Strathairn, Malik Yoba, Warren Christie, Azita Ghanizada, Ryan Cartwright and Laura Mennell. Season 2 of the drama series is set to premiere in July.

Way, repped by Amsel, Eisenstadt & Frazier, starred in ABC's police procedural Detroit 1-8-7 and previously appeared in Hawaii Five-0, Private Practice and Girlfriends. On the big-screen, she stars in the upcoming The Collection, Doonby and Not That Funny.
