AMC used the platform of The Walking Dead's midseason finale to bow the first footage for its upcoming Revolutionary War drama Turn.

The drama, which was picked up to series along with Halt & Catch Fire in July, is based on Alexander Rose's book Washington's Spies. Nikita's Craig Silverstein developed the drama and serves as showrunner on the series executive produced by Barry Josephson. Set during the summer of 1778, Turn centers on a New York farmer named Abe Woodhull (Jamie Bell), who, living behind enemy lines in British-occupied Long Island, bands together with childhood friends to form the Culper Ring, a group of spies who turn the tide in America's fight for independence.

Check out the first footage below and hit the comments with your thoughts. Will you watch? Turn debuts in spring 2014. A formal premiere date has not yet been announced.
