Sarah Paulson Reveals Which 'AHS' Character She Wants to Reprise

'AHS' regulars, including Kathy Bates and Denis O'Hare, were on hand at Sunday's panel.

American Horror Story: Roanoke saw Sarah Paulson play not one, not two but three different characters.

One of them was Lana Winters, whom the Emmy winner had first portrayed in the Asylum season of the FX anthology drama.

When speaking about the most recent season at the closing night of PaleyFest on Sunday at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, Paulson reveals who else she would like to revisit from the AHS universe.

"Probably Cordelia. We only got to see her just getting her powers," Paulson said of her Coven character. "I just would like to know…if the power might have been something that kind of changed her."

Paulson sounded optimistic about a possible return by her season-three alter ego: "Maybe we'll get to see that."

Looking back at season six, Paulson said she felt slightly unsure of how to step into Lana's shoes again, particularly at a different point in Lana's life. "I did get a charge playing Lana, it was very exciting," she said. "I did feel that feeling of, 'How do I drop into that? This is the part of her that I only did one episode of.'

Frequent AHS player Denis O'Hare also answered the question and pointed back to both his characters from seasons one and three. "I want to get Larry out of jail," he said, also saying that he would like to see Spaulding from Coven and his baby. "I think he'll be a good father."

When speaking about the cast's roles in future installments of the drama, which has already been renewed for seasons seven and eight at FX, exec producers Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear kept their answers mysterious.

"What I find most fun writing for Sarah is characters that, if Sarah wasn't playing them you would really not like them," Falchuk said. "But she makes them so likable."

Looking ahead, Falchuk said "anything is possible" when asked about whether a future season of the show might tackle slavery. "That's certainly a viable area for the show," Minear said.

American Horror Story returns later this year for season seven on FX.
