'American Horror Story' Enlists Billy Eichner for Season 7
American Horror Story is adding a new member to its ensemble of returning favorites.
Billy Eichner is set to recur on the upcoming seventh season of the FX anthology series, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
Details about Eichner's role are kept under wraps. He joins confirmed returning castmembers Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters.
Co-creator Ryan Murphy revealed in February that the upcoming season, set to premiere later this year, will focus on the most recent presidential election.
"American Horror Story is going to be about the election that we just went through. And what I’m interested in doing is not just the obvious, single-minded point of view but rather express all sides of that equation," he told THR. "And then all of the stuff that I’m developing now is going to be about illuminating and highlighting people who don’t have a voice in our culture — people who are ignored by the current administration and who are afraid and feel terrorized that their lives are going to be taken away."
The role marks a rare dramatic turn for Eichner, best known for hosting Billy on the Street and for the Hulu comedy Difficult People. His credits also include Parks and Recreation.
American Horror Story was renewed for seasons seven and eight in January.
