Nurse Jackie's Anna Deavere Smith has already lined up her next gig.

With the Showtime dramedy already wrapping production on its upcoming seventh and final season, Smith has booked a co-starring role on NBC's Problem Child reboot, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Inspired by the 1990 John Ritter film, the pilot is a family comedy about the cat-and-mouse game between a set of parents (Matthew Lillard, Erinn Hayes) and their brilliant but mischievous child Bishop (The Michael J. Fox Show's Jack Gore).

Smith will play the role of the school principal in a role originally conceived as a male. The principal becomes a victim of the mischievous Bishop.
Smith has played hospital administrator Gloria Akalitus for all seven seasons of Showtime's Edie Falco starrer. Additionally, she's an accomplished playwright and processor whose credits also include The West Wing and features Rachel Getting Married, among others. She's repped by Gersh and Judi Farkas Management.

The Hangover Part II's Scot Armstrong will pen the script and executive produce the Universal Television, TBD Entertainment, Imagine TV and STX Entertainment single-camera comedy. Peter Traugott, Rachel Kaplan, Brian Grazer and Robert Simonds also exec produce. Kate Wolfson rounds out the cast.
