'Arrow' Enlists 'Battlestar Galactica's' Tahmoh Penikett
He'll appear as Tom Salvati, the right hand man to the mob boss father to Helena Bertinelli (aka The Huntress).
Arrow is continuing to up its geek cred.
The upcoming CW superhero drama has enlisted Battlestar Galactica and Dollhouse alum Tahmoh Penikett, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
Penikett will play Tom Salvati, the right-hand man to mob boss Frank Bertinelli (who will be played by the previously announced Jeffrey Nordling).

Of note: Bertinelli's character is the father to Helena Bertinelli, aka famed DC Comics character The Huntress (Jessica De Gouw), who in the CW series is dead-set on exacting revenge against those who killed her family as well as a potential love interest to star Stephen Amell's Oliver/Green Arrow.
The Huntress will first appear in the sixth episode of the freshman series, which premieres next month. The network is keeping a lid on whether Penikett's role will be a one-off guest turn or recurring as well as when he'd first surface.
Penikett joins fellow fan favorite John Barrowman on the drama, from Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Andrew Kreisberg. Barrowman will recur and play a mysterious and wealthy guy who is an acquaintance of the Queen family and prominent figure in Starling City.

GreenArrowTV.com first spotted the news, which was first announced on Penikett's Facebook page.
Arrow premieres Wednesday, Oct. 10 at 8 p.m. on the CW.
