Star Trek: Voyager alum Jeri Ryan is heading to Starling City.

The actress will guest star in the second episode of season four, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. She will play Queen family friend Jessica Danforth, a character who does not appear in the comics.

Danforth has political ambitions that will make her a target of a formidable antagonist. On Thursday, Arrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim tweeted the first page of the script for episode 402, revealing it will be called "The Candidate."

Arrow has delved into politics before, with Oliver's (Stephen Amell) late mother Moira (Susanna Thompson) running for mayor when she was murdered. The title of the episode had fans online speculating that perhaps Oliver would be the candidate — as in one comic book storyline he ends up becoming mayor of Starling City.

Ryan played the Borg Seven of Nine for four seasons on Star Trek: Voyager and recently had a role on Syfy's Helix.

For Arrow, Ryan becomes the latest season four cast addition. She joins Jimmy Akingbola as the villain Baron BlitzkriegNeal McDonough as Damien Darhk, Alexander Calvert as Lonnie Machin/Anarky and Echo Kellum as DC superhero Mister Terrific.

Access Hollywood first reported the casting news.

Arrow season four premieres Oct. 7 at 8 p.m. on the CW.
