'The Bachelor,' 'The Bachelorette' Renewed by ABC

The 16th season of "The Bachelor" premieres in early 2010; the 7th season of "The Bachelorette" airs in May.
ABC has renewed The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, a network rep confirms to The Hollywood Reporter.
The 16th season of The Bachelor will premiere in early 2012, and the 7th season of The Bachelorette will hit airwaves in May.
Bachelor Pad will also air a second season, keeping Bachelor-related shows on ABC for eight months out of the year.
The current season of The Bachelor, starring Brad Womack, ends Monday night. It has been averaging 10.2 million viewers a week.
The new Bachelorette will be revealed Monday on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
