'The Bachelor' Finale: All About Catherine’s Ring
Sean Lowe proposed to the graphic designer on the finale, and the couple reunited publicly on the live "After the Final Rose" special.
On the Bachelor finale, Sean Lowe put a ring on it.
At the end of the episode, Sean chose Catherine as The One and got down on bended knee to ask for her hand in marriage.
"I just had no idea my feelings would turn into what they did,” he told her. “I think the world of you, and I miss you every time we have to say goodbye. I miss you. I don't want to say goodbye anymore."
He presented her with a shiny ring, and she said yes.
Catherine finally got to wear the ring in public at the live After the Final Rose special that followed the finale.
So let’s talk about that ring!
Sean and Hollywood jewelry designer Neil Lane chose the it earlier in the episode. Sean selected a 3.15-carat vintage inspired romantic diamond and platinum ring. It features a a cushion-cut diamond surrounded by 164 smaller round diamonds.
During the live special, Sean told the audience that Catherine didn’t even look at the sparkler on the day he proposed.
“I had to remind her to look at the ring – she never looked at the ring,” said Sean. “But that’s the kind of person she is. She didn’t care about the ring, as nice as it is. She was overcome with joy. And after about five minutes, I said, ‘Did you even notice the ring?’ And then she looked at the ring, and she freaked out.”
But at the special, she was definitely gushing about the ring.
“She has waited months to wear this in public,” said Sean of the sparkler.
