BBC America Lines Up Winter Premiere Dates for New Originals (Exclusive)

"Ripper Street," "Wild Things With Dominic Monaghan" and miniseries "Spies of Warsaw" all join the schedule early in 2013.

Three new series coming to BBC America have locked down premiere dates -- starting with the network's latest co-production.

Ripper Street, the 1800s police drama starring Matthew Macfadyen, debuts Saturday, Jan. 19 at 9 p.m. The network's latest co-production's eight-episode run follows London's H Division as it navigates grisly crimes in the wake of Jack the Ripper's tear through the city. The network co-produced the series for the BBC with Tiger Aspect Productions and Lookout Point.

STORY: BBC America Renews 'Copper' for Second Season 

BBC America's latest unscripted original production, Wild Things With Dominic Monaghan, kicks off three days later on Tuesday, Jan. 22 at 10 p.m. Also eight episodes, Wild Things finds the Lost star navigating the globe in search of extreme animals. BBC America is joined by Cream Productions and Wildfire Television in association with OLN and Channel Five for Wild Things.

Former Doctor Who star David Tennant makes his return to BBC America on Wednesday, Feb. 6, with espionage miniseries Spies of Warsaw. Part of the network's "Dramaville" block, Warsaw also stars Made in Jersey actress Janet Montgomery and comes to the network from Fresh Pictures. It was co-produced by Apple Film Production for BBC Four and TVP in association with ARTE France and BBC Worldwide. Spies of Warsaw concludes the following Wednesday on Feb. 13.

Another BBC America co-production, The Hour, returns to the network for its second season on Wednesday, Nov. 28.
