BBC/Discovery Channel Announce Air Dates for 'Human Planet' (Video)

The show -- four years in the making -- premieres next month.

BBC and Discovery Channel have announced the airdates for their co-production of Human Planet, the follow-up to Planet Earth and Life.

The six-part series, which is four years in the making, will air April 10, 17 and 24 on Discovery from 8 to 10 p.m. ET.

The series was filmed in high-def in more than 70 locations.

“HUMAN PLANET is the story of us, uniquely told through the lens of the world’s premier natural history filmmaking,” said Clark Bunting, president and general manager of Discovery Channel, in a statement. “Throughout the series, viewers will be transported to some of the most stunning locations on Earth to bear witness to intensely captivating stories of human perseverance and survival.”
