Fox is playing mind games with Ben Affleck, Matt Damon and 30 Rock's Colleen McGuinness.

The network has handed out a script plus penalty commitment for the comedy from Universal Television and Affleck and Damon's Pearl Street Films, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

The untitled single-camera comedy centers on a 25-year-old woman who works at a frozen yogurt shop and whose life is going nowhere — until she discovers she's telekinetic.

McGuinness, whose credits include all six seasons of NBC's Emmy-nominated 30 Rock, will pen the script and exec produce alongside Damon, Affleck and their Pearl Street president Jennifer Todd.

This marks McGuinness' second project — she's also reteaming with 30 Rock's Tina Fey and Robert Carlock for an untitled comedy in the works at NBC. She most recently was a supervising producer on NBC's Jason Katims comedy About a Boy.

For Fox, the comedy puts the network back in business with Pearl Street, who last season developed drama The Middle Man that had Affleck attached to direct. (That drama was rolled to this season.)

Pearl Street last season also had Alyson Hannigan comedy pilot More Time With Family set up at CBS. That half-hour, from writer Josh Goldsmith and director James Burrows, did not move forward.

For its part, Pearl Street also has drama Incorporated in development at Syfy as well as HBO's revived Project Greenlight. The company also is in preproduction on feature Live by Night, which was written and directed by leading man Affleck.

McGuinness is repped by WME. Affleck and Damon are repped by WME and Ziffren Brittenham.
