BET is bulking up its late-night talk block.

The cable network home to repeats of the long-running strip The Wendy Williams Show has acquired Sony Pictures Television's The Queen Latifah Show, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

The syndicated daytime talk and variety show will join BET's lineup on Monday, March 31, where it will be paired with Wendy Williams. Both series will be joined in the fall by the network's previously announced acquisition The Real. BET picked up Wendy Williams in 2009.

Queen Latifah bowed in September and, in its first season, outrated all other new talk shows including competition from the since-canceled Bethenny Frankel talker. The series was renewed for a second season on CBS Stations.

The addition to BET's late-night block comes as cable networks have been bulking up on original late-night fare. Comedy Central has found success with Chris Hardwick's @midnight as well as The Daily Show; Bravo recently re-upped Andy Cohen and his Watch What Happens Live for two more seasons; and HBO will trot out a weekly comedy talker hosted by The Daily Show's John Oliver.

Queen Latifah is produced by the singer-actress' Flavor Unit, Overbrook Entertainment and SPT. Corin Nelson executive produces.
