Freeform's Beyond is promoting one of its own for season two.

The supernatural drama has upped Eden Brolin to series regular, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Beyond centers on Holden (Burkely Duffield), a young man who wakes up from a coma after 12 years and discovers new abilities that propel him into the middle of a dangerous conspiracy. Now Holden must try and figure out what happened to him during those 12 years; how to survive a world that changed while he was gone; and answer the question, Why did this happen to him?

Brolin made her well-reviewed debut in the series midway through season one as Charlie Singer, a mysterious woman who also woke up from a coma with unexplained abilities.

“As soon as Eden appeared on Beyond, we knew she was something special," said Freeform's executive vp programming and development Karey Burke. "We’re thrilled that viewers will get to learn more about Charlie in season two."

The daughter of Josh Brolin and granddaughter of James Brolin, the actress — who had been generating buzz this broadcast pilot season — has also appeared in Code Black and Ruby Sparks. She is repped by Paradigm, Grandview and Jackoway Tyerman.

Freeform used a unique approach when it came time to launch Beyond in January. The cabler released all 10 episodes of season one online following its Jan. 2 linear bow. According to Freeform, the series premiere drew 7.2 million linear viewers and became the network's biggest launch in a year in live-plus-3 numbers.

The Tim Kring-produced series earned an early season two pickup at the Television Critics Association winter press tour. Kring serves as an exec producer with David Eick, Steven Adelson, Dan Friedkin, Justin Levy, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and creator-writer Adam Nussdorf.
