Bill Engvall Poised to Star in Family Docuseries (Exclusive)
The comedian is teaming with 44 Blue to develop an unscripted series focusing on his family.
Comedian Bill Engvall is ready to bring his blue-collar brand of comedy to the unscripted space.
Engvall is teaming with 44 Blue (A&E's Wahlburgers) to star in a docuseries focusing on his family, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
The potential series, which is in development and does not yet have a network attached, will focus on Engvall and his wife, Gail, as they approach their empty nest, provided their kids Travis and Emily don't boomerang back home.
44 Blue, whose credits include A&E's Breaking Boston, will produce the project in association with Parallel Entertainment. 44 Blue's Rasha Drachkovitch and Stephanie Drachkovitch will executive produce alongside Parallel's JP Williams, Jenny Novak and Engvall.
Envgall, who was a finalist on the 17th season of ABC's Dancing With the Stars, is a Grammy-nominated, multiplatinum-selling recording artist who is best known for his Blue Collar Comedy Tour. He starred and exec produced TBS' The Bill Engvall Show from 2007-09 and starred on Blue Collar TV. His credits include Designing Women, Delta, The Jeff Foxworthy Show and several Comedy Central specials.
44 Blue is repped by WME; Envgall is repped by Paradigm, Parallel and Del Shaw.
