Sundance Channel has flushed out the cast of its newest original scripted drama, The Red Road.

Boardwalk Empire's Julianne Nicholson has boarded the series starring Martin Henderson and Jason Momoa, the caber announced on Thursday.

Red Road is described as a hard-hitting drama that revolves around a weathered sheriff (Off the Map's Henderson) struggling to keep his family together while policing two clashing communities: the folks in the small town in which he grew up and those in the neighboring Ramapo Mountains. After a tragedy and cover-up occurs involving his wife (Nicholson), an unholy alliance is forged between the cop and Phillip Kopus (Game of Thrones' Momoa), a dangerous member of the tribe that will come back to haunt all involved.

Nicholson, who played U.S. Assistant Attorney General Esther Randolph on Boardwalk, will play the wife to Henderson's character. She rounds out a cast that also includes Tamara Tunie (Law & Order: SVU), Annalise Basso (Oculus), Allie Gonino (The Lying Game), Kiowa Gordon (The Twilight Saga) and Tom Sizemore (Saving Private Ryan). Production on the six-episode series will begin on Aug. 19 in Atlanta.

Sarah Condon (Bored to Death) will produce, with Contraband's Aaron Guzikowski on board to pen the script. Bridget Carpenter (Friday Night Lights, Parenthood) will executive produce and serve as showrunner. James Gray will direct the first episode.

The series marks Sundance's second wholly owned original series following Rectify, which has already been renewed for a second season.

Nicholson is repped by CAA.
