'Breaking Bad' Season 5 Sneak Peek: What Happened to Gus Fring? (Video)
In a new clip from AMC's eagerly awaited season premiere, Walt Jr. finds out about the drug kingpin's demise.
AMC has released a new clip from the fifth-season opener of Breaking Bad, and it seems viewers were not the only ones shocked by the death of drug kingpin Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito) in last season’s finale.
The 90-second clip follows one previously released clip and several photo releases, and finds Skyler (Anna Gunn) and Walter Jr. (RJ Mitte) rejoining new meth king Walter White (Bryan Cranston) at home following the sudden death of Fring. Walter Jr., unaware of his father’s drug ties, raves about his surprise regarding Fring’s meth empire and his DEA uncle Hank’s investigation of said empire. When Junior asks Skyler if she told Walt about Fring’s death, she responds with a tactful, “He knows.”
The heavily promoted season kicks off July 15 at 10 p.m One day prior, Breaking Bad will host a panel and special premiere screening at Comic-Con International, at a sure-to-be-packed hall of devoted fans.
