'The Burn with Jeff Ross' Gets Second Season at Comedy Central
The weekly topical series from the stand-up comic will return for a six-episode second season on January 8.
Comedy Central is staying in business with its roastmaster general Jeff Ross.
The Viacom-owned cable network has renewed his topical weekly series, The Burn with Jeff Ross, for a second six-episode season. The latter, is set to premiere on January 8.
"The world is definitely a better place for having Jeff roast it on a weekly basis," said Comedy Central's head of original programming and production Kent Alterman in a statement.
Added Ross: “I'm delighted to be off the road for a while and back to work on The Burn. I consider it my personal mission to roast the world's big shots, bullies, and big mouths every single week. The network only had two demands: that I cut down my cursing by ten percent and my hair by eighty percent.”
The effort, which joins Tosh.0, The Daily Show and the recently renewed Brickleberry on the network's schedule, is executive produced by Ross, Mike Gibbons and Chris McGuire as well as Tagline Television's Willie Mercer and Amy Zvi.
