'Burn Notice': Watch the Opening Scene From the Midseason Premiere (Exclusive Video)
The USA Network spy drama returns for more action on Thursday, Nov. 3 at 10 p.m.
Burn Notice is back for more explosions and memorable Sam Axe one-liners in just a little over two weeks, but The Hollywood Reporter has the opening scene from the upcoming midseason premiere.
The summer finale left blacklisted spy Michael Westen (Jeffrey Donovan) at the mercy of the bad guys and working with his former agency in Miami. In the exclusive clip, Michael and Fiona (Gabrielle Anwar) have a quiet moment before the chaos begins, but it's not without strings.
"For a spy, the worst thing that can happen is to become someone else's asset. You do anything you can to avoid it, making sure you there's nothing people can grab onto and use as leverage. You move through life unattached, keeping the world at a distance," Michael says in the scene. "Love nothing and nothing can be used against you." It looks like he's in for a world of hurt.
The show doesn't miss a beat when it returns Thursday, Nov. 3 at 10 p.m., with Michael and Fiona heading to Puerto Rico to abduct a financial hacker whose software they need for Anson Fullerton (Jere Burns), the original leader of the Organization that burned Michael. Of course, the job turns out not to be a simple one. Lauren Stamile, Ian Anthony Dale and Ptolemy Slocum guest star in the episode.
