CBS Fall Schedule: 'Big Bang' and 'Young Sheldon' Paired Together After Thursday NFL

New dramas join Wednesday and Thursday, as few changes come to the most-watched network.

The network famous for its stability and scant scheduling fluctuations again rolled out a familiar lineup Wednesday morning. The last of the Big Four broadcast networks to firm up plans for the fall, CBS made very few moves — notably giving The Big Bang Theory spinoff Young Sheldon a lead-in from its parent series.

"We are, as always, very bullish about the network television business and bullish about CBS," said CBS Corp. topper Leslie Moonves, touting the network's latest season to finish as the most-watched. "No offense to [former NBC topper] Warren Littlefield, but we are must-see TV."

There are six new series entering the schedule, peppered across the week. The most auspicious, Young Sheldon, will bow in the Thursday 8:30 p.m. slot after Thursday Night Football moves from CBS to NBC in October. Prior to that, the Young Sheldon pilot will get a sampling on the first night of the season (Monday, Sept. 25) after the season premiere of The Big Bang Theory.

This fall's schedule largely resembles last year's in its repeat appearances — and where it is taking its swings. Freshman comedies 9JKL and Me, Myself and I head to the still-intact Monday comedy block, with 9JKL getting the biggest lift from Big Bang Theory and then Kevin Can Wait

Drama SEAL Team moves into Criminal Minds' Wednesday 9 p.m. slot, bumping the former occupant to 10 p.m. SWAT takes a stab at Thursday's troubled 10 o'clock hour after an unchanged (save Young Sheldon at 8:30 p.m.) comedy block. Sunday sees the biggest changes, with rearranged NCIS: Los Angeles and Madam Secretary airing after 60 Minutes (its 50th season!) and new drama Wisdom of the Crowd
