CBS Sets 'Big Brother,' 'Same Name' Premiere Dates

CBS has announced the premieres of returning summer reality series Big Brother and new show Same Name.

The 13th season will launch Thursday, July 7 at 9 p.m. with returning host Julie Chen. Big Brother will air three times a week — Wednesdays at 8 p.m., Thursdays at 9 p.m. and Sundays at 8 p.m. — with the live evictions on Thursday nights.

Same Name, which centers on celebrities trading places with strangers with the same name, debuts Sunday, July 24 at 9 p.m.

In addition, CBS announced that the 38th annual Daytime Emmy Awards, hosted by Wayne Brady, will air Sunday, June 19 at 8 p.m. and the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular, hosted by Michael Chiklis will air Monday, July 4 at 10 p.m.

THR reported earlier today that Neil Patrick Harris will return to host the 65th annual Tony Awards, which will air Sunday, June 12.
