CBS Sets New Saturday Morning Block With Shows Hosted by Jamie Oliver, Laila Ali

The new three-hour lineup, launching in September and aimed at teens, will be branded "The CBS Dream Team, It's Epic!"

The "Dream Team" is coming to CBS.

The network has partnered with independent TV producer-distributor Litton Entertainment on a new Saturday morning programming block that will be branded "The CBS Dream Team, It's Epic!"

The three-hour block, which debuts Sept. 28, will include six new half-hour series, all in high-definition, that will feature such personalities as celebrity chef Jamie Oliver, sports personality Laila Ali  and omg! Insider co-host Kevin Frazier.

Each show is designed to offer pro-social and uplifting messages aimed at viewers ages 13-16. Topics will range from pet adoption and animal care to healthy eating makeovers to athletes making a difference in their communities to personal interest stories about people who have accomplished something great.

The new shows:

-- Lucky Dog, in which animal trainer Brandon McMillan rescues untrained and unadoptable dogs and works to turn them into the perfect pets to be adopted by families.

-- Dr. Chris Pet Vet, which chronicles the work of Dr. Chris Brown, said to be one of the world's busiest vets, and lives of the animals he treats.

--Recipe Rehab, in which families submit their favorite high-calorie recipes and two chefs compete to give the recipes a low-calorie twist.

-- Jamie Oliver's 15-Minute Meals, in which the chef makes quick and easy meals in real time, offering hints, tricks and lots of nutritional info along the way.

-- All In With Laila Ali, in which she profiles inspirational people, groundbreaking achievements and extraordinary lifestyles. 

-- Game Changers With Kevin Frazier, which spotlights professional athletes who use their public image to make positive changes in the lives of fans in need.

All of the programming in the new block is compliant with the FCC's educational/informational rules, which mandate that TV stations must air at least three hours of E/I programming a week. The airtimes for the new shows may differ in each market.
