CBS' 'Zoo' Admits Kristen Connolly, Billy Burke

They'll join star James Wolk in the summer drama based on the book by James Patterson.

CBS' summer drama Zoo is rounding out its staff.

Kristen Connolly (Houdini, House of Cards) and Billy Burke (Revolution, Twilight) have booked series regular roles on the summer drama, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Based on James Patterson's best-seller, Zoo is a global thriller about a wave of violent animal attacks against humans across the planet. As the assaults become more cunning, coordinated and ferocious, a young renegade biologist (The Crazy Ones' James Wolk) is thrust into the race to unlock the pandemic's mystery before there’s no place left for people to hide.

Connolly is set for the series regular role of Jamie, a passionate young journalist intent on uncovering the story behind the mysterious animal behavior she has been tracking.

Burke will also have a regular role, playing Mitch, a straight-shooting large animal veterinarian who prefers the company of animals over navigating the complexities of humans.

They join the previously announced Wolk and Game of Thrones alum Nonso Anozie and Nora Arnezeder.

Jeff Pinkner, Josh Appelbaum, Andre Nemec and Scott Rosenberg will exec produce alongside James Mangold, Cathy Konrad, Patterson, Bill Robinson, Leopoldo Gout and Steve BowenBrad Anderson is directing the CBS Television Studios drama, which was picked up straight to series and has a second-screen window on Netflix.

Connolly is repped by Paradigm and Untitled; Burke is with Gersh and Ellen Meyer Management.
