'Celebrity Name Game' Canceled After 3 Seasons

Celebrity Name Game has run out the clock.

The syndicated game show hosted by Craig Ferguson has been canceled after three seasons, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

Exec produced by Courteney Cox and David Arquette, the game show will complete its current third season run, which is airing on Tribune Broadcasting and Sinclair Broadcast Group networks across the country. Although ratings were steady, sources say they weren't high enough to justify a renewal. 

Based on the board game Identity Crisis, the show paired celebrities with contestants as the latter vied for $20,000. Cox and Arquette exec produced under their Coquette banner with Laura Robinson and Richard Gerrits of North 44 Productions, FremantleMedia North America co-CEO Jennifer Mullin and showrunner Scott St. John.

Ferguson won two Daytime Emmys for his turn as host on the show, which he began hosting just months before he stepped down as host of The Late Late Show in December 2014. 

The show was co-produced by Debmar-Mercury, which handled domestic distribution, and FremantleMedia North America, which oversaw international distribution.
