As THR first reported, Handler plans to end her E! late-night show at the end of the year.

Chelsea Handler isn't shying away from speculation about her next late-night gig.

The Hollywood Reporter broke the news last month that Handler plans to leave the E! channel when her contract expires at the end of the year. And late Monday night, she posted a photo on Instagram that showed her holding papers with the CBS logo and a caption that read, in part, "Business meeting."

Handler has long been vocal about her dissatisfaction with E! accusing the network of incompetent programming and blaming weak lead-ins for ratings declines. In a March 5 appearance on Howard Stern’s radio show, she described E! as “a sad, sad place to live,” adding, “They don’t know what they’re doing. They have no ideas. It’s a failure.”

Since THR broke the news of her decision to leave the network, David Letterman announced his retirement from CBS' Late Show sometime next year. Stephen Colbert last week was named as his successor, leaving questions about what would happen in the 12:35 a.m. time period, which currently houses Craig Ferguson's Late Late Show. Ferguson's contract expires at year's end, but CBS Entertainment chairman Nina Tassler told THR last week that there haven't been any conversations yet about Ferguson's future at the network.

"Craig is our 12:30 guy," Tassler said. "We've been focused so intently on 11:30. We're dealing with one hour of late-night at a time. We'll have conversations about 12:30 very shortly. But our first order of business was to shore up 11:30."
