Chris Hardwick is staying put at AMC.

On the eve of Comic-Con, the company has inked a multiyear deal with the convention staple, whose other credits include those of touring comedian and go-to host. As part of the new pact, Hardwick will host and executive produce multiple programs for the cable network over the next three years. He’ll also continue as host of the “Talking” live aftershows, which include Taking Dead, Talking Dead: Fear Edition, Talking Saul and Talking Preacher.

“There is simply nobody better than Chris Hardwick at doing what he does,” said AMC and SundanceTV president of original programming and development Joel Stillerman. “He’s first and foremost a true fan, and his contagious enthusiasm for AMC content, along with his expertise of all things pop culture, his humor, and his engaging interview style have made him a post-show staple for AMC’s viewers.”

Added Hardwick: “When we started Talking Dead in 2011,
I had no idea it would become one of the most significant experiences of my life. As a fan, having this kind of front-row seat to some of the biggest pillars of pop culture has been a dream come true. Thank you to AMC for allowing me to continue to show up for appointment TV therapy with the legions of other fans for the foreseeable future!”

Hardwick, whose dizzying schedule is often compared to that of fellow personality Ryan Seacrest’s, will continue with his other ventures as well, including his nightly gig as host of Comedy Central’s @midnight With Chris Hardwick. In addition to touring and serving as founder and CEO of Nerdist Industries, he will soon host and executive produce NBC’s forthcoming game show The Wall as well.

He is repped by UTA and Brillstein Entertainment Partners, which also serves as EP on all series in which Hardwick takes part.
