The television ad spot, dubbed in Spanish, was released last week and spotlights the British actor's style as he walks out of a swanky hotel room, through the city and onto a studio lot. At one point during the commercial, Owen is seen eating a burger that a waiter serves him on a platter, declaring: "Delicioso." And a larger-than-life burger crashes into a parked car as Owen leans against a lamp post, who in the end isn't really who he appears to be.

In a "making of" video posted on YouTube by Burger King Espana. "Everyone loves Clive," one of the Burger King executives said excitedly.

Big-name actors, personalities or musicians appearing in or contributing to commercials is not rare. In 2003, Justin Timberlake teamed with McDonald's for an "I'm Lovin' It" campaign and throughout the years, acts like Britney Spears and Michael Jackson have appeared in Pepsi commercials.

Owen has been laying low as of late. His most recent movie, action thriller Killer Elite, went on to gross $25.1 million in the domestic box office, but 2012 proves to be a busy year as he will tout The Intruders and Sundance entry Shadow Dancer. After being nominated for an Oscar for his role in 2005's Closer, Owen appeared in a slew of films including Sin City, Derailed, Children of Men, The International and Duplicity.
