Trump-spoofing freshman series The President Show just saw its Comedy Central run extended through the summer.

The network on Tuesday announced that it has ordered seven additional episodes of the weekly late-night talk show, which stars Anthony Atamanuik and his parody of President Donald Trump. The President Show will continue to air in its current Thursday time slot.

“Whether we’re witnessing the end of democracy, or merely the end of the world, it’s a privilege seeing it from the inside,” Comedy Central president Kent Alterman said in a statement.

Across four episodes, The President Show is averaging 870,000 viewers in its time slot. That's after its April premiere pulled 1 million in live-plus-3 ratings, the biggest for a Comedy Central bow since Broad City.

The network has been increasingly aggressive in the late-night space, adding The President Show, another weekly effort from Jim Jefferies and firming up plans for a full-time 11:30 p.m. show starring Jordan Klepper.

Trevor Noah has also been benefiting from the continued issues of the Trump administration. The most recent full week of Noah's Daily Show was its most-watched to date, averaging 1.1 million nightly viewers — narrowly edging out his 2015 premiere week.

The President Show is produced by Clone Wolf Productions and 3 Arts Entertainment.
