Comic-Con 2011: Friday's Official TV Highlights Include 'Big Bang Theory,' 'True Blood'
The second full day of events also features "Torchwood," "The Walking Dead" and "Locke & Key."
San Diego Comic-Con’s second full day of panels was released Friday and The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed has sifted through the massive schedule to bring you the highlights of the July 22 events.
Comic-Con 2011: Thursday TV Panels
Below is a rundown of Friday’s TV panel highlights. For more details on the day’s events, check the official announcement here.
10-11 a.m. Torchwood: Miracle Day (Starz) John Barrowman, Eve Myles, Mekhi Phifer, Bill Pullman, Alexa Havins and Lauren Ambrose join writer Jane Espenson to discuss the fourth installment of the BBC series. Ballroom 20.
10:30-11:30 a.m. Locke & Key pilot screening. The Fox pilot, which was not ordered to series, will be screened for fans of the award-winning graphic novel. Room 8. A second screening has been set for 9:15 p.m. in Room 6DE.
11:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m. The Walking Dead (AMC) Stars Andrew Lincoln, Jon Bernthal, Sarah Wayne Callies, Laurie Holden, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Jeffrey DeMunn join writer/director/executive producer/series creator Frank Darabont, exec producer Gale Anne Hurd, comics creator Robert Kirkman and consulting producer Greg Nicotero dish on what to expect from Season 2 of the zombie drama. Ballroom 20.
11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Locke & Key panel. Immediately following the screening, creators Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez will be joined with the TV pilot writer Josh Friedman for a discussion on the show, comic and what’s next. Room 8.
Noon-1 p.m. ABC Family presents The Nine Lives of Chloe King with an exclusive preview of an upcoming episode as well as a Q&A with Skyler Samuels, Amy Pietz, Grey Damon, Gracie Phipps, Benjamin Stone, Alyssa Diaz, Hi Hong Lee and EPs Dan Berendsen and Gina Girolamo. Room 23 ABC.
12:30-1:30 The Big Bang Theory (CBS) EPs Chuck Lorre, Bill Prady and Steve Molaro join Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg, Kunal Nayyar, Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch for a panel discussion. Ballroom 20.
1:30-2:30 Adult Swim: Childrens Hospital: Preview a brand new episode and stay for a panel featuring Rob Corddry, Jon Stern, Malin Akerman, Lake Bell, Erinn Hayes, Rob Huebel and Megan Mullally. Afterward, preview Adult Swim’’s new live-action comedy NTSF: SD: SVU with creator and star Paul Scheer. Indigo Ballroom, Hilton San Diego Bayfront.
1:45-2:45 p.m. Bones (Fox) Creator/EP Hart Hanson will be joined by EP Stephen Nathan as well as stars David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel to discuss the Season 6 finale and discuss what’s ahead in Season 7. Ballroom 20.
2:15-3:15 p.m. The River (ABC) Preview the new Amazon adventure drama and stay for a panel featuring Oren Peli, Michael Green, Zack Estrin as well as cast members Joe Anderson, Eloise Mumford and Leslie Hope. Room 6.
3-4 p.m. Eureka (SyFy). Colin Ferguson, Salli Richardson-Whitfield, Neil Grayston and guest star Felicia Day join EPs Jaime Paglia and Bruce Miller for a chat about the series moderated by guest star Wil Wheaton. Ballroom 20.
3-4 p.m. Bob’s Burgers (Fox): Creator/EP Loren Bouchard and EP Jim Dauterive are joined by cast members H. Jon Benjamin, John Roberts, Dan Mintz, Eugene Mirman and Kristen Schaal with clips from Season 2.
3-15-4:15 p.m. Falling Skies (TNT) Noah Wyle, Moon Bloodgood, Will Patton, Drew Roy, Collin Cunningham and Sarah Sanguin Carter join co-EP Mark Verheiden for a Q&A and fresh footage from the alien invasion series. Room 6BCF.
3:30-4:30 p.m. Entertainment Weekly presents Totally Lost: One Year Later. Discuss the cryptic ABC drama a year after the series’ conclusion. Place your bets on who the special guests will be. Room 5AB.
3:30-4:15 p.m. Adult Swim showcases Robot Chicken with Seth Green, Matthew Senreich and Tom Root. Indigo Ballroom, Hilton San Diego Bayfront.
4:15-5:15 Warehouse 13 (Syfy) Join the cast and creative team for a panel moderated by Neil Grayston. Ballroom 20.
5:30-6:30 p.m. True Blood (HBO) The line to get into see HBO’s vampire hit is sure to be the one you stumble over all day. Cast members including Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer, Sam Trammell, Rutina Wesley, Nelsan Ellis, Deborah Ann Woll, Kristin Bauer van Straten, Joe Manganiello and Kevin Alejandro are joined by creator Alan Ball. Ballroom 20.
5:45-6:45 p.m. Spartacus: Vengeance (Starz) Meet the new Spartacus, Liam McIntyre, in a Q&A with cast including Lucy Lawless and EP Steven S. DeKnight. Room 6BCF.
6-7 p.m. Alphas (Syfy) The rookie series makes its Comic-Con debut with a panel with the cast and creative team. Room 6A.
7-8 p.m. NCIS: LA (NBC) EP Shane Brennan and star LL Cool J discuss what’s real and what’s fake when it comes to all the technology featured on the series. Room 6BCF.
7:30-8:30 p.m. Death Valley (MTV) The cast and crew discuss merging comedy and horror for the new series. Room 5AB.
