The Captains, an Epix original documentary produced and directed by William Shatner, follows the former Star Trek legend as he travels the world reconnecting with each of the actors who have played captains as part of the franchise.

Premiering Friday at 8 p.m. on Epix, check out Shatner as he recalls his own experiences in the role that made him famous. In this clip exclusive to The Hollywood Reporter, Shatner touches base with Patrick Stewart as the duo discuss their experiences captaining the famed craft.

The documentary will also feature interviews with Kate Mulgrew, Scott Bakula, Avery Brooks and Chris pine while interweaving clip from their respective shows and movies.
