'Community' Preview: There Will Be No more 'National Lampoonery' on Season 3 (Video)

There's a new sheriff in town for the upcoming season and the dean mistakenly thinks it's him.

NBC’s Community released a new behind-the-scenes video from the upcoming third season and it seems that Pierce (Chevy Chase) is still on the outs with the study group and Dean Pelton (Jim Rash) has a new attitude, facial hair, and a tough adversary in recurring guest star, John Goodman.

“My character’s vice dean Laybourne and he is the head of the air conditioning repair annex,” says Goodman. “And they bring a great deal of money into the community college.”

We already got a sneak peek at Goodman’s character on the show, but this clip shows an extended preview of the character’s first standoff with Dean Pelton.

“I think this is the first of several showdowns and I win this one hands down,” Goodman explains. “Not to reveal any secrets.”

We also find out that Pierce is still on the outs with the study group when Season 3 premieres. Watch the video above.
