Craig Kilborn Signs Development Deal With ABC Studios

The former host of 'The Daily Show' will write a half-hour comedy that he would star in and produce.

Former Late, Late Show host Craig Kilborn has signed a development deal with ABC Studios to pen a half-hour comedy script that, should it be ordered, he would star in and produce.

The original host of Comedy Central's The Daily Show most recently fronted The Kilborn Files, which aired briefly on Fox stations, after a six-year absence from the small screen.

Before that, he served as host, from 1999-2004, of CBS' The Late, Late Show, replacing Tom Snyder.

Kilborn hosted The Daily Show from 1996-98; Jon Stewart replaced him in 1999.

Kilborn is repped by Innovative Artists.
