Daveed Diggs' post Hamilton-schedule continues to heat up.

The Tony winner is set for a season-three arc on Black-ish, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

Diggs will play Johan, the brother of Tracee Ellis Ross' character Bow. Because of their wildly different childhoods, Johan will be a frequent thorn in the side of Bow's husband, Dre (Anthony Anderson). Namely, Johan has enjoyed a far more pampered existence than Dre.

Black-ish recently snagged three Emmy nominations, for both Ross and Anderson as well as for best comedy series.

The recurring role comes after Diggs won a Tony Award in June for best featured actor in a musical. The actor, who played the dual role as the Marquis de Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson, exited the hit Broadway show this month, as he is quickly building up a movie career, fielding multiple offers for notable projects.

His departure followed that of Hamilton's creator and original lead Lin-Manuel Miranda, as well as Phillipa Soo and fellow Tony winner Leslie Odom Jr. Renée Elise Goldsberry, who also won a Tony for her performance, is next to set to leave for a starring role in the Netflix drama Altered Carbon.

Diggs recently joined the cast of Wonder, Lionsgate’s adaptation of R.J. Palacio's young adult novel, headlined by Room actor Jacob Tremblay along with Julia Roberts and Owen Wilson. He also will appear in Baz Luhrmann’s forthcoming Netflix drama The Get Down, debuting next month on the streaming service.

The Black-ish role comes on the heels of the announcement last week that Diggs will co-star in HBO's Tour de Pharmacy, a doping mockumentary of Lance Armstrong's personal and professional struggles from 7 Days in Hell duo Murray Miller and Andy Samberg.

Black-ish returns for season 3 on Wednesday, Sept. 21, at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
