The Television Academy has appointed new members to its executive committee.

The five industry leaders named include Showtime president David Nevins, Amazon Studios head Roy Price, WME television department head Rick Rosen, TBS and TNT president Kevin Reilly and Universal Television executive vp Bela Bajaria.

“Each of these visionary executives brings an unparalleled breadth of experience and a unique perspective on our business to the executive committee,” said TV Academy chairman and CEO Bruce Rosenblum. “We are in the midst of a world that is rapidly evolving across so many platforms, and this group will be pivotal in helping us expand the ways we serve our members and the industry."

The appointees’ work will help further the Academy’s mission to build up the television medium, while recognizing that the Academy is in the middle of the reinvention of its campus and a campaign to build an endowment to expand the educational programs of the Academy Foundation.

The Board of Governors has also elected their appointees to the executive committee, which include Bob Bergen (performers peer group governor), Allison Binder (professional representatives peer group governor), Sharon Lieblein (casting directors peer group governor), and Seth Shapiro (interactive media peer group governor, new to the EC).
