'Desperate Housewives' Cast Ponder 'What Would My Character's Tombstone Say?'
THR asked cast members if their character were to be Season 8's big death, how would they be remembered.
It’s one of the biggest rumors for Desperate Housewives’ eighth and final season. Someone is going to die before the season’s end. But, it really isn’t a rumor. It’s true.

“There’s always a death,” executive producer Bob Daily tells The Hollywood Reporter. “Yes, I guarantee there will be at least one death this year. There’s one planned already and who knows, there could be more.”
So, when THR attended the show’s final season kickoff party, we asked cast members, “If your character were to be killed off, how would they be remembered on their tombstone?”
Here’s what they said.
Marcia Cross (who plays Bree Van De Kamp): “Wow, ‘She always did her best.’ ”
Eva Longoria (who plays Gaby Solis): “It would probably be something very selfish, 'She had some great shoes.' Gaby will definitely be remembered for her shoes.”
Felicity Huffman (who plays Lynette Scavo): “What a great question! What would it say? ‘My north star is my family.’ “
Vanessa Williams (who plays Renee Perry): "Oh it would definitely say, ‘She came and she died here?’ Question Mark.”
James Denton (who plays Mike Delfino): “Something like ‘Finally got him.’ I’ve gotten run over, been in a coma, I’ve been in prison, so it’s like run out of lives.”
Kevin Rahm (who plays Lee McDermott): “It would be something really snarky. Um, ‘You can’t see it, but I am wearing Chanel.’ ”
The eighth season of Desperate Housewives debuts Sunday at 9 p.m. on ABC. Who do you think is dying in the final season?
