'Devious Maids' Star Boards CBS' Kevin Williamson Drama
Mariana Klaveno will co-star in the stalker drama, playing a detective alongside Dylan McDermott.
CBS' Kevin Williamson stalker drama is filling its ranks.
Devious Maids' Mariana Klaveno has joined the cast of the untitled drama pilot. The role is in first position to the Lifetime drama in which she has starred for two seasons, meaning she would leave the series should the pilot move forward.
The drama pilot is described as a psychological thriller centered on detectives who handle stalking incidents for the Threat Assessment Unit of the LAPD. Hostages' Dylan McDermott will star as Detective Jack Larsen, a recent transfer to the unit from New York. Jack's healthy confidence and quick thinking have gotten him into trouble in the past -- a past he hopes to leave behind.
Klaveno will play Janice, who is usually the smartest person in the room and is one of the Threat Assessment Unit's detectives; she is often underestimated because of her somewhat flashy appearance.
Klaveno, repped by APA, Shelter and Ginsburg Daniels, most recently starred in West of Redemption and has had recurring roles on Dexter, True Blood and Innocent.
Williamson (The Following, The Vampire Diaries) will pen the script and executive produce. Liz Friedlander will direct the pilot, which hails from Williamson's Warner Bros. Television-based Outerbanks Entertainment banner.
