'Dexter': 'Rome's' Ray Stevenson Joins for Season 7 Arc
He'll recur as Isaac, the leader of a Russian organized crime syndicate in the Showtime drama.
The seventh season of Showtime's Dexter is beginning to take shape.
Rome's Ray Stevenson has booked a multiepisode arc on the seventh season of the Michael C. Hall- and Jennifer Carpenter-fronted serial killer drama, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

Stevenson will play Isaac, the leader of a Russian organized crime syndicate in the seventh season of Dexter. Isaac comes to Miami to determine who killed one of his associates.

The Showtime drama, following a shocking sixth-season finale in which Deb (Carpenter) discovered Dexter's (Hall) dark passenger as she prepared to profess her love for her adopted brother, was renewed last year for two additional seasons, potentially setting the stage for the series' end.

"There's a number of ways the series can en," showrunner Scott Buck told THR after the finale. "But now that we know that most likely the series will be ending in two years we can start to work toward that specifically. "Over the years we've all sort of imagined how the show will end and now it will eventually be time to start comparing notes and seeing what the best direction is to take this show before we decide on what our final episode will be."
Dexter's seventh season will premiere Sept. 30 at 9 p.m. on Showtime.
Stevenson, whose credits also include Thor and The Book of Eli, is repped by WME and Jackoway Tyerman.
