Dylan Walsh is getting back in the saddle.

The Nip/Tuck grad, who most recently starred on Unforgettable, has joined Longmire's upcoming fifth season, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Walsh will recur as Shane Muldoon, a character who is described as a boss, but you'd never suspect it from his curated demeanor and calm, assertive intelligence. Whether he's fly fishing or cracking down on loose elements of his criminal enterprise, there's an ominous edge to Shane's charming manners.

The role reunites Walsh with Nip/Tuck executive producer Greer Shephard, who has been an executive producer on Longmire since its inception.

Following his six-season role no the FX plastic surgery drama as Dr. Sean McNamara, Walsh has had roles that included arcs on Castle and NCIS: New Orleans. He most recently starred on Unforgettable which, like Longmire, moved distributors midway through its run. Unforgettable moved from CBS to A&E for season four, while Longmire moved from A&E to Netflix for season four. However, A&E pulled the plug on Unforgettable in February.

Walsh, who will also appear in ABC's upcoming mini When We Rise, is repped by Gersh, McGowan Entertainment and Stone, Genow.

Netflix renewed Longmire, which hails from Warner Horizon Television, back in October, a month after the new season premiered on the streaming giant. There is no premiere date yet for season five.
