Felicity Huffman to Star in Fox Drama 'Boomerang'
She'll play an assassin in the drama pilot from executive producer John Wells, who also employs her husband, William H. Macy, on Showtime's "Shameless."
Felicity Huffman has found her follow-up to Desperate Housewives.
After playing Lynette Scavo for eight seasons on the ABC soap, Huffman will play an assassin in Fox's drama pilot Boomerang, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

The drama focuses on the usual, everyday events surrounding a family business -- except this family is in the business of executing hits as assassins for the U.S. government.
Huffman will play Margie, the matriarch of the Hamilton clan and a briskly professional assassin who can kill and dispose of a suspected terrorist in the afternoon and then switch to wife and mother mode without a hitch.
Davey Holmes (Shameless, Awake) will pen the pilot for Warner Bros. Television and executive produce alongside his Shameless cohort John Wells and Andrew Stearn. Hustle and Flow's Craig Brewer will direct and receive an executive producer credit on the pilot.

With the casting, Huffman and her husband -- Shameless star William H. Macy -- will now both star on dramas executive produced by Wells.
Huffman, an Emmy winner for her starring role in Marc Cherry's Housewives, earned Oscar and Golden Globe nominations for 2005's Transamerica, in which she played a transsexual woman. She also earned four other Golden Globe nominations for her roles in Housewives and Aaron Sorkin's Sports Night.
Huffman is repped by CAA.
