ABC has cast its one of its warriors.

Fifty Shades of Grey's Eloise Mumford will star in military medical drama pilot Warriors, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Warriors is inspired by the state-of-the-art Walter Reed Military Medical Center and follows the best and brightest of active duty military doctors and nurses as they practice trailblazing medicine on critically wounded warriors returning home from Afghanistan, on military families and veterans as well as administering to Washington's government elite. It is based on an original teleplay by Steven Baigelman.

Mumford, who inked a talent deal with ABC in August, will play Dr. Stacey Weebling, a surgical resident with a crush on her boss George. She's sometimes overwhelmed by her sadness and the emotional toll of her job and admires how George handles it..

Warriors hails from Chris Keyser, who will pen the script and executive produce the ABC Studios drama alongside Todd Lieberman and David Hoberman's Mandeville.

"Eloise is really special. She is perfect for this role and our first choice," said Keyser, who worked with her on Fox's short-lived drama Lone Star. "I couldn't be happier or feel luckier that we have the chance to make Warriors together.”

Mumford recently wrapped filming Universal's 50 Shades of Grey as Kate. The casting in Warriors marks her latest ABC drama following last season's Reckless and series The River. Her credits also include features Not Safe for Work and Drones. She's repped by Paradigm.
