First Look at USA's 'Necessary Roughness' (Video)

USA will have its richest summer yet with eight original scripted series airing this summer, one of them being new drama Necessary Roughness.

Callie Thorne stars as a recent divorcee who gets a job as a therapist for a professional football team. Craig Bierko, Scott Cohen, Mehcad Brooks and Marc Blucas co-star in the Liz Kruger and Craig Shapiro-created series.

As it has done with other new shows, USA will launch Roughness with a 90-minute pilot (that's including commercials). Though it falls in line with USA's mandate of "blue-sky shows," Roughness has a slightly different quality to it, much of it due to Thorne's exuberant portrayal.
