Fox is bolstering its drama ranks.

Former Freeform executive Brooke Bowman has joined the network's drama development team, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Bowman will serve as senior vp drama programming at Fox and start her new position Wednesday. She replaces James Oh, who was among the executives who took a buyout at the network and has now transitioned to senior vp at Warner Bros. Television-based Jerry Bruckheimer TV.

Based in Los Angeles, Bowman will supervise the development and production of new and returning scripted series for Fox. She will report to Fox exec vp drama Terence Carter.

Bowman most recently served as senior vp original programming at Freeform (the former ABC Family). Before exiting the Disney-owned network in July 2015, Bowman spent 12 years at the cabler where she developed series including Baby Daddy, Shadowhunters, Switched at Birth, The Secret Life of the American Teenager, Greek, Bunheads, Young & Hungry, Make It or Break It and Kyle XY.

Before that, Bowman spent a year as exec director development at Buena Vista Productions, where she oversaw syndication, as well as primetime and cable, including Live With Regis and Kelly, The Wayne Brady Show and The Tony Danza Show. She also spent time at VH1, where she developed Behind the Music and spent three years at Fox Searchlight.
