Fox Announces Finale Dates, Including 'House' Farewell and 'Idol' Crowning
The week of May 21 will be an especially big one for the network, as the Hugh Laurie drama heads off the airwaves, the eleventh "Idol" is named and "Glee" reveals what it's doing with its graduating class.
As the 2011-2012 television season heads into the final stretch, Fox has firmed up finale plans for its programming block.
The farewells kick of April 7 with the conclusion of Q'Viva! The Chosen and go through May 23 and the two-part crowning of American Idol. Along the way, Fox will end the current run of Family Guy with an hour-long special and send off exiting drama House with a retrospective special ahead of its May 21 farewell.
After Glee returns on April 10, restoring the previous Tuesday comedy block, the show will wrap up its third season on May 22 after the first part of the American Idol finale. Presumably, this episode will shed light on the fate of many of the series graduating characters.
