Fox Orders Andy Samberg Comedy Pilot

The project, about a group of New York detectives, hails from "Parks and Recreation's" Dan Goor and Mike Schur.

Fox has given a pilot order to an untitled comedy project toplined by former Saturday Night Live regular Andy Samberg.

The pilot, about a diverse group of detectives at a New York precinct, will be executive produced by Parks and Recreation executive producer Dan Goor and co-creator/showrunner Mike Schur.

David Miner also will executive produce, with Samberg producing. Universal TV, where Schur has an overall deal, is behind the comedy.

The news comes on the same day that CBS gave a pilot order for a Jim Gaffigan-Peter Tolan comedy and The CW ordered a backdoor pilot for a spinoff from The Vampire Diaries.
