"During this whole recovery process, my U.S. fans have been on my mind," Jessie J says in a statement. "All I can think about is coming back to America and giving those loyal fans who have supported me so much something really wonderful. I promise you it's just around the corner and it starts with The X Factor.”
The British singer broke her foot in June, which led her to cancel several U.S. tour dates including the Katy Perry tour. She was able to start performances again in August and served as the house artist on the MTV VMAs with a cast on. This week, she performed on the MTV EMAs in Belfast. The singer says that there’s still a bit to go on her recovery, but that she’s planning to announce a U.S. tour soon.
“I've been gone for too long,” she says. “I'm feeling a bit better, but I'm not there yet. As soon as I'm fully healed, I'll be back for a proper run. Until then, thank you for the support. I'm here because of you and I'll heal because of you."
