Frances McDormand and Bill Murray Joke About Suicide in 'Olive Kitteridge' Trailer

Frances McDormand and Bill Murray both wear knit caps like nobody's business in the first trailer for HBO's upcoming film Olive Kitteridge.

McDormand stars as a strong-willed teacher who has difficult relationships with her husband and son. The film's narrative spans 25 years and focuses on Olive's interactions with the various denizens of their New England town. 

In a memorable scene, McDormand convinces a young girl that she's a witch and is about to eat her.

Richard Jenkins, John Gallagher Jr., Zoe Kazan, Martha Wainwright and Murray co-star. Lisa Cholodenko (The Kids Are All Right) directed the film based on the Pulitzer prize-winning 2008 novel by Elizabeth Strout

HBO airs the film in two parts on Nov. 2 and 3. It premiered at the 2014 Venice Film Festival.
