'Fringe': Sneak Peek at Season 4 Premiere (Video)

Fox's cult hit returns Friday, Sept. 23 at 9 p.m.

"Fringe" Season 3 finale

The newest promo for the upcoming season of Fringe gives a more in-depth look inside what's to come on the cult hit.

When the fourth season begins, it'll be a new beginning for the Fringe Division and the show itself. Not only has Peter gone AWOL, but the recently promoted series regular Seth Gabel will be playing a more pivotal role in Season 4 as Lincoln Lee in the Peter-less Fringe Division. Smartly, the fourth season is even being marketed as a series premiere (see: end of teaser).

This summer, Fox has been doling out brief promos, asking the biggest question of the series to date: Where is Peter Bishop?

"They can never know the boy lived to be a man," an Observer says at the end.

The season premiere, titled "Neither Here Nor There," airs Friday, Sept. 23 at 9 p.m. on Fox.
