'Full House' Alum Scott Weinger Returning for Netflix Revival
Another fan favorite is returning for Fuller House.
Scott Weinger, who played Steve, the beloved high school boyfriend of DJ (Candace Cameron-Bure), shared a photo Thursday on Twitter from the first table read for the upcoming Netflix revival series.

Weinger first appeared as a recurring character in season five and was promoted to series regular the following season. When his character, Steve, went off to college, he did not appear in the eighth and final season save for a cameo in the series finale when his character returned to take DJ to her high school prom.
Although the entire cast is set to return in some capacity — with the exception of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen — Weinger's status was less clear because in the new series DJ's character is newly widowed with young children (just like her father on the original series.) It's still not known whether Weinger is in fact the deceased and just appearing in flashbacks, but this also could also be a How I Met Your Mother situation where the widow reunites with an old flame.
Weinger, whose credits also include voicing the title character in Disney's Aladdin, has moved behind the camera since Full House. His writing credits include episodes of Black-ish, Galavant and 90210.
Fuller House premieres in 2016 on Netflix.
